Re:signal partnered with luxury Canadian senior living provider Amica to build search authority and raise visibility among “adult children”—the key decision-makers for prospective residents. By collaborating with a renowned dementia specialist to create interactive photography visualising daily dementia symptoms, the campaign positioned Amica as a compassionate industry leader while securing high-tier backlinks.

The Challenge

Amica needed to reach adult children and caregivers in a highly sensitive search space, requiring a campaign that demonstrated profound clinical expertise without sensationalising or trivialising the condition.

Our approach

We centred the strategy on expert-backed thought leadership, translating complex medical insights into an empathetic, interactive visual experience.

  1. The Angle & Hook: We addressed growing public interest around dementia by visualising how symptoms manifest in everyday environments, helping family members better understand the sensory experiences of loved ones living with the condition.
  2. Campaign Execution: We created a series of interactive slider photographs depicting everyday settings—a kitchen, garden, and living room. Working alongside a Photoshop specialist, we overlaid visual interpretations of symptoms, such as wallpaper patterns appearing as living organisms, intense lighting distortions, and misperceived household items.
  3. Methodology & Data Science: We conducted extensive feasibility testing with Dr Heather Palmer, a leading dementia specialist and former Director of Research for the Alzheimer’s Society of Canada, ensuring all visualised symptoms were clinically grounded and accurate.

Defining our goal

Drive top-tier editorial coverage, increase brand equity among adult children and carers, and build sustained domain authority.

The Business Impact

By pairing striking visual assets with practical advice from Dr Palmer tailored specifically for carers, media desks quickly picked up the feature for both health and lifestyle spreads.

The campaign secured 23 long-term linking root domains and over 200 social shares. Standout highlights included full-page print and online features in Daily Mail and Metro, alongside dedicated pieces on Studyfinds.org, WhenTheyGetOlder, and Scoop.

The activity contributed directly to a 13% uplift in domain authority metrics and established Amica as an unparalleled authority in specialised senior care.
